Modern art of the French outdoors

Near the Cite du Vin in Bordeaux
Also in Bordeaux. I think it's by a Catalan artist named Jaune Plensa.
We've seen these dogs in more than one place, but are not sure why they're popular. More investigation required.
These lamps were all over the river walk in Bordeaux. Loved the iridescence.

A whole series of these female figures decorated public spaces in La Reolle. I'm only including 2 of the more chaste selections, especially our own inspiration below.
We have since seen more in other cities, including Moissac.

The city of Agen has several of these silvery Charles Stratos sculptures throughout the heart of town. We were pleased to find info about the artist in a gallery window.
And the piece de resistance, pictures of the Canal du Midi by the children of the local elementary school in Villefranche de Lauragais
