Les seules Americaines
Another perfect day. I did neglect to tell Christine that today's itinerary was rated "expert" because of the rolling hills. And they did indeed roll. Fortunately the beautiful scenery eased the pain.
Our first stop was Sauveterre with its lovely Roman gates.

Up until this point we had been on a bike path but real roads were today's challenge. The countryside was vineyard after vineyard guarded by stone chateaus. We crossed rivers near old mills.
Our destination was LaReole a old town on the Garonne River. It was full of ancient buildings and beautiful flowers.
Our bnb was lovely and the hostess was so excited that we were Americans. We were the first Americans to stay there. Of course we had to talk about Trump and offer our deepest apologies. We have met absolutely no Americans here but people have been extremely friendly and patient with our French.
